Creamy Chicken Garlic Parmesan Pasta

8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: Red pepper flakes, for extra heat

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about ½ cup of pasta water.

    Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

        Make the Sauce: Add the heavy cream and chicken broth to the skillet, stirring well to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.

          Add Cheese and Seasoning: Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, mixing until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency. Season with additional salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.

            Combine Chicken and Pasta: Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet, stirring to combine. Then add the cooked pasta, tossing everything together until well coated in the creamy sauce.
