Ingredients

1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided

4 cups broccoli florets

1 cup bell peppers, sliced (red and yellow for color)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, freshly grated

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

2 tablespoons beef broth

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Cooked jasmine rice, for serving

Instructions

In a bowl, combine the sliced flank steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and sear it without moving it for about 2-3 minutes, until browned. Flip and sear the other side for another 2 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Toss in the broccoli florets and bell peppers. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are vibrant and tender-crisp.

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet with vegetables. Stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Pour in the sesame oil, rice vinegar, and beef broth. Stir well to combine all the ingredients, cooking for another 2-3 minutes to ensure everything is heated through and coated in the sauce.

Taste and adjust seasoning with more soy sauce if desired. Once ready, garnish with chopped green onions.

Serve hot over cooked jasmine rice and enjoy your homemade Chinese Beef and Broccoli!
